Dave Brewster

Personal Trainer

Dave Brewster recently joined The Whole Body Spa as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. He's been involved in regular fitness and exercise programs since his freshman year in high school. Since then, his interests have ranged from team sports to strength training, seasonal sports, yoga, Tai Chi and Martial Arts.

With and easygoing attitude, Dave likes to bring his enthusiasm for fitness to his clients. "A workout doesn't have to be painful or boring - We just need to figure out what will make it interesting for you... and sometimes you can't find it in a gym."

Outside work, Dave and his wife, three young boys and two dogs live and play in Groton, MA.

"Every client has different personal fitness goals and a unique personality. I think that many people can feel self conscious or intimidated by the idea of seeing a personal trainer. I'm not here to weigh, measure, and criticize performance -- You already know why you're here. We can create a program that emphasizes Strength, Flexibility, Balance, Relaxation, or Weight Loss or all of the above. Maybe you want someone to make you sweat or get you ready for your favorite spring sports. My goal is to provide an opportunity for clients and to help them tap into whatever interests will motivate them to incorporate exercise and fitness in their daily lives."

"I love to work out, but it can be tough fitting it into a busy schedule. I like to dedicate an hour each day and some days the only opportunity I have is at 5:30am before the house wakes up and hectic days begin. When I skip a workout, I miss it -- it's my addiction. They say runners experience a "runner's high" after a workout and I think the same happens for me regardless of which type of exercise I'm doing. Of course it's challenging trying to keep it interesting so I like to mix it up and try new things... And if that's not enough, my boys keep me hoppin' the rest of the day!"
